Oia (pronounced ee-uh), Santorini is a small island that overlooks the Aegean Sea. It is about a 45 minute plane ride from Athens. Located at the northern tip of Fira which is the capital of Santorini. One can get a magnificent view overlooking the caldera pooled against the island. 
This gorgeous part of Greece is well known for it’s beautiful sunsets and narrow cobbled streets. Here you will find serene beauty and beautiful waters that are unimaginable at its high vantage point. It’s quite a beautiful sight to view the meditarranean architecture of white dome-capped houses that have been carved out of the sides of the cliffs. Their vibrantly colored doors provide a wonderful sensory overload for the eyes to behold when taking it all in amongst the northern tip oceanic views. One can also witness black and red pebbles alongside its black sandy beaches winning it the nickname of the “island of black rock” due to past volcanic activity that Santorini has experienced.
